Overnite becomes UPS Freight

United Parcel Service is changing the name of its Overnite Corp. subsidiary — the holding company for Overnite Transportation and Motor Cargo — to UPS Freight, effective May 1. The carriers will be known as UPS Freight LTL and UPS Freight TL, respectively.

The re-branding includes a move to the UPS logo and a new web site for shipping and tracking, www.upsfreight.com. UPS Freight will operate independently of the UPS package delivery unit.
