Karla Hulett has been hired as the new chief financial officer for the American Trucking Assns. (ATA).

“I’m incredibly pleased that we’ve been able to bring someone with Karla’s extensive experience onboard to American Trucking Assns.,” president & CEO Bill Graves said. “As we navigate this economic recovery, I can think of no one better suited to keep ATA’s fiscal house in order through these challenging times.”

Hulett brings more than 30 years of experience in tax and revenue administration, most recently with Accenture. She also worked for Microsoft and Computer Sciences Corp. and spent more than 20 years in the Kansas Dept. of Revenue.

“I’ve very excited to join the ATA family,” Hulett said. “In my career, I’ve had the chance to explore the challenges and opportunities of both the public and private sectors and now I’m eager to do the same in the not-for-profit sector.

Hulett replaces Dave Bearfoot, who retired in January.
