Truck drivers can expect significant construction delays on I-15 in Utah all through the summer months, according to the Utah Dept. of Transportation, which urges drivers to get the latest information on delays at www.itruck.utah.gov, a web site created specifically for trucking.

The largest project involves a 24-mi. corridor in Utah County, where construction activity will run around the clock, resulting in narrowed lanes and shoulders, reduced speeds, lane shifts, and intermittent closures of lanes, ramps and bridges, according tu UDOT.

Other I-15 construction projects will also disrupt traffic between Clearfield and South Layton, and Bountiful to Frarmington, as well as on sections of the North Salt Lake ExpressLink.

Advanced notice of closures and construction activity will be available on the UDOT truck site, as well as recommended alternative routes around affected sections of I-15. The agency will also distribute a free weekly e-mail construction update called the Trucker’s Concierge to anyone who signs up for the service by contacting [email protected].
