Fleet tracking through GPS Insight’s reporting dashboard has become easier with a new dashboard interface that offers customizable tabs as well as a new look and feel, the company said.

The GPS fleet tracking dashboard offers several system tabs that can be customized to the user’s exact preference. Additional custom tabs can be configured, making it easy for managers and dispatchers to access the fleet information they need quickly.

A one-click function allows saved layouts to be retrieved quickly. Standard layouts offered include mapping, reports, administration, and custom, all of which include drop-down menus listing additional options.

“This improvement to GPS Insight takes the product way past the next level,” said Robert Donat, founder & CEO of GPS Insight. “We drew upon three years worth of customer advice, feedback, and development which have culminated in this new release of GPS Insight. I did the math and there are over 4.5 trillion ways to configure our interface now. But since we don’t recommend trying them all, it comes pre-configured with four popular tabs which can be modified by the user, with four additional custom tabs available which can be configured, labeled, and ordered in any way.”

The ability to drag, drop, and configure screens into the exact functionality from a list of available dashlets has been improved as well. The dashlets are grouped into major categories, covering everything from vehicle lists and maps, to graphs, routing tools, Garmin dispatch, and alert monitors.

Additionally, mapping now includes real-time traffic, and the overall dashboard and maps are now significantly faster, GPS Insight said.
