Landstar System, Inc. has named Jim Handoush and Pat O'Malley as co-chief operating officers, divvying up responsibility between them for the company’s different divisions.

Handoush will be responsible for Landstar's newly acquired supply chain transportation integration companies, Premier Logistics and A3 Integration LLC; Landstar’s warehousing, intermodal and international service offerings; and national and international account development.

O'Malley will focus on Landstar's field organization, agency and capacity development and all over-the-road operations, including the company’s truckload, less-than-truckload, specialized/heavy haul and expedited service offerings.

"Strategically, the changes further position Landstar to provide our customers with a unified approach to addressing their supply chain needs," said Henry Gerkens, president & CEO. "Jim and Pat are proven leaders and have each played an integral role in transforming the organization over the years. I believe the functional changes created by this new structure will enable the marketplace to properly identify Landstar as a 'one-stop shop' provider of transportation logistics services and solutions."
