Marsh Inc. has agreed to sponsor the Truckload Carriers Assn. (TCA) and CarriersEdge “Best Fleets to Drive For” contest and survey. Marsh is an insurance broker and risk advisor. CarriersEdge is an online driver-quality improvement solutions provider.

The Best Fleets program, now in its third year, is given to the highest scoring fleet in the company driver category.

The survey portion shares success stories in areas such as benefits, professional development, driver and community support, safety record, and company culture. The information is compiled and publicized with an eye to inspiring other fleets and raising the bar for the entire trucking industry, TCA said.

The Best Fleets contest is open to all for-hire trucking companies with ten trucks or more. To be considered, a fleet must be nominated by a company driver or owner-operator currently working for the fleet.

Fleets are evaluated against a broad range of criteria reflecting current HR best practices, and the top 20 finishers are named that year’s “Best Fleets to Drive For.” Winners will be announced in a few weeks.

The winners are then sorted into two categories: Those that employ company drivers, and those who utilize the services of owner-operators.

The highest scoring fleets in each of these areas will be singled out for recognition as Best Overall winner in their category.

Winners will be announced in a few weeks.
