In an effort to appeal to the outdoor enthusiast market, Ram Truck is rolling out a special version of its 2012 Ram 1500 pickup. Dubbed the “Mossy Oak Edition,” it has bed caps and tailgate covered with a Mossy Oak Breakup Infinity camouflage pattern and thee Mossy Oak logo prominently displayed on the rear quarter panels.

Inside, the center column of the Ram 1500's instrument panel comes finished in Mossy Oak Breakup Infinity, as do the door panel inserts. The Mossy Oak logo is embroidered on the four primary headrests and buyers also can opt for Espresso Tuscany-colored Katzkin Leather seats with Mossy Oak headrest embroidery, Ram said.

Fred Diaz, president & CEO of Chrysler’s Ram Truck division and Chrysler de Mexico, said his company’s research indicates 30% of Ram 1500 owners say they are hunters, while 44% fish, 27% are boaters and 42% are campers.

“We're launching the Ram Mossy Oak Edition, as we did the Ram Outdoorsman, to keep our focus on the needs and wants of our customers so that they can enjoy their enthusiasm for the outdoors and their sport of choice,” Diaz said.

The Ram Mossy Oak Edition is available exclusively as a Ram 1500 4x4 Crew Cab model, and is based on the popular Ram Outdoorsman. The trucks are expected to arrive in dealerships by December this year, with sticker prices starting at $39,910, including a $995 destination charge.
