UPS’ Beystehner steps down

John Beystehner, COO of Atlanta-based United Parcel Service as well as president of UPS Airlines and a member of UPS’ board of directors, is retiring as of January 2. A 36-year veteran of UPS, Beystehner has served as the company’s COO since 2004.

Scott Davis, CFO for UPS, will take over some of Beystehner’s responsibilities until a new COO is named. Davis has also been elected vice chairman of UPS in addition to his other duties.
