Xtra Lease is celebrating the grand opening of its new Nashville location this month. A formal ceremony will take place Oct. 27, nearly six months after the Cumberland River rose 32 ft. and devastated much of the downtown Nashville area and its businesses.
The company’s Nashville facility was affected by the flooding. Hundreds of trailers had to be replaced and many more repaired, Xtra Lease said. The grand opening will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the new facility at 1505 Corporate Place, La Vergne, TN. It will include educational seminars and demonstrations.
Rick Gobbell, former U.S. Dept. of Transportation inspector and currently a safety consultant, will discuss CSA regulations along with showing what carriers can expect in a typical DOT audit. There will also be a demonstration of a DOT inspection by a Tennessee Highway Patrol representative.
Steve Zaborowski, Xtra Lease senior vice president, will show how fleets can spec their trailer fleets for damage-resistant durability and low maintenance costs, and will discuss how new California Air Resources Board (CARB) regulations affect all fleets nationwide. Craig Nolle, lease trailer tracking manager, will demonstrate how fleets can enhance trailer utilization and asset management.
Carriers are invited at attend. For more details or to RSVP for the event, visit xtralease.com/NashvilleGrandOpening, or call Kim Thomas, branch manager, at 615-641-2370.
