Ryder to manage, distribute Mazda parts in Mexico

Mazda North American Operations (MNAO) has extended and expanded its contract with Ryder System under which Ryder manages the distribution of Mazda auto parts in Mexico

Mazda North American Operations (MNAO) has extended and expanded its contract with Ryder System under which Ryder manages the distribution of Mazda auto parts in Mexico.

Under the contract, to run through October 2011, Ryder will manage cross-border transportation of Mazda parts into Mexico and distribution to all Mazda dealers in Mexico.

“Ryder’s team has consistently demonstrated its ability to drive process improvements throughout our operations, both in the U.S. and Mexico,” said Bobbie Rooney, manager of transportation and logistics for Mazda. “The decision to continue and expand our relationship with Ryder in Mexico is based on their ability to provide the services with speed and reliability at the lowest cost.”
