LifeGuard Technologies announced the launch of its “Click, Tug & Snug” seat belt campaign at the Mid-America Trucking Show

LifeGuard Technologies announced the launch of its “Click, Tug & Snug” seat belt campaign at the Mid-America Trucking Show last week in Louisville. The program gives step-by-step directions for using Lifeguard’s Komfort Latch and Sliding Komfort Latch seat belts.

According to LifeGuard, truck drivers who wear seat belts are nearly twice as likely to survive an accident, and a study by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) found that while 82% of passenger vehicle drivers wear seatbelts, only 65% of truckers do.

The campaign is offering free training kits and has begun a radio advertising campaign to tell users the correct way to buckle up—vertically inserting the latch into the buckle, and listening for a click, then tug on the seat belt latch and snug it across the hips.
