    July 30, 2008

John Harris has been named director of purchasing and logistics for Utility Trailer Manufacturing Co. Harris joined the manufacturer of dry freight vans, reefers, flatbeds and Tautliner curtain-sided trailers in 1988.

Harris has been recognized for driving efficiencies throughout the company, including enhancements in design and layout of production facilities as well as improved vendor relations within the purchasing department.

In addition to continuing his current responsibilities with the company’s purchasing operations, Harris will be working to reduce costs for both in-bound freight to Utility Trailer’s five manufacturing facilities and out-bound delivery of trailers to dealers nationwide.
