Ingersoll Axles introduced a line of heavy-duty suspensions at the 2012 Mid America Trucking Show that can be package with its steerable trailer axles, allowing customers to order a complete suspension-axle package from one supplier.
Ingersoll, an IMT Company, said its new Ingersoll Suspension System (ISS) is engineered for durability, strength, and customization. The company stressed that the “unique” customization for its new ISS product is that it’s a suspension designed to fit trailers, not a trailer designed around a suspension.
The ISS features an optimum i-beam trailing beam design, a fully wrapped axle connection, and industry standard parts. Again, having only offered axles in the past, Ingersoll stressed that it’s now able to be a “one stop shop” for customers wishing to purchase one of its current axle offerings – standard, drop centre, steerable, in-line, etc. – as well any of their 15 new suspension designs.
