The T880 features a 2.1-meter wide aluminum cab that offers 23 inches of room between the seats. The cab is built by robots on the production line, by the way.
The T880 uses new electric-over-air dash switches introduced on the T680, and offers additional options to aid with vocational and body builder requirements.

The T880 "bulk haul spec" tractor features a 12.9-liter Paccar MX-13 engine rated at 455 hp and 1,650 ft.-lbs. or torque and a 13-speed Fuller manual transmission.
This "bulk haul spec" T880 offers 120 gallons of fuel capacity and 11 gallons of diese exhaust fluid or "DEF" capacity for the SCR system.
Each of those stone blocks weighs in excess of 3,500 lbs boosting the total loaded-out weight of this T880 tractor-trailer configuration to 65,000 lbs.
The T880 comes standard with the 12.9-liter Paccar MX-13 engine, though a Cummins ISX15 offering up to 600 hp and 2,050 l-ft of torque is an option.
