LOUISVILLE, Ky. Shell has announced its 28th Shell Rotella SuperRigs competition will take place this year on June 10-12 in the historic Shenandoah Valley of Virginia.

The event, which is the premier truck beauty contest for actively working trucks, will be held at the Lee Hi Travel Plaza in Lexington. Accompanying the event this year will be a parade and Trucker’s Movie Night, featuring Smokey and the Bandit at a drive-in theater. The parade will include a collection of antique trucks as well as community and civic organizations. It will be followed by a fireworks display, kicking off the Big Rig light contest.

A carnival will be held daily as well.

A grand prize of cash and prizes totaling $25,000 will be awarded and 12 owner-operators will have their trucks featured in the 2011 Shell Rotella SuperRigs calendard.
