Troy, MI-based ArvinMeritor has hired Robert Ostrov to be its senior VP for human resources, as well as making him a member of the company’s board of directors, which also includes newly hired VP-light vehicle systems Phil Martens, president of commercial vehicle systems Carsten Reinhardt (Detroit Diesel’s former president and CEO) and VP-emissions technology group Buddy Wacaser.
Ostrov, who previously served as VP-human resources and labor relations for FedEx Ground, is going to be responsible for leadership and management of the human resources function for ArvinMeritor’s 29,000 employees at more than 120 locations in 25 countries.
He’s also going to provide strategic focus in employee leadership and development initiatives, compensation, benefits and rewards systems, labor relations, and human resources systems, policies and practices, ArvinMeritor said.
