Aero Industries patents new tarping system

Aero Industries has received a patent for its new roll-tarp system, SideKick. The tarping system is specifically designed for side-dump trailers and is said to provide strength and durability, combined with easy operation.

SideKick is powered by a sealed motor with cast gearbox. The system employs lock collars on the arm to raise the mesh tarp above a heaped load. When stowed, the aluminum roll tube rests under the side lip of the trailer to enable dumping from either side. The lightweight tarp is just 225 lb., yet it is made from a very tough mesh to give it the strength and durability side-dump operators need.
