Baltimore gets Volvo parts distribution center

Volvo Trucks North America, Inc. has added a new parts distribution (PDC) center in Baltimore, MD

Volvo Trucks North America, Inc. has added a new parts distribution (PDC) center in Baltimore, MD. The new facility joins Volvo’s existing PDC network, with others in Reno, Memphis, Columbus, OH, Chicago, Dallas and Toronto, ON.

“This is the third new PDC Volvo has added to its network in the last year, which shows Volvo’s absolute commitment to delivering uptime for our customers,” said Rikard Jonsson, senior vp-- parts sales & marketing. “This brings significantly improved support to our many customers and dealers in the Northeast. The Baltimore facility is strategically located within a few hours of major cities on the East Coast.”

The 314,000 sq-ft Baltimore facility is expected to fill over 400,000 orders for parts per year.

Volvo Trucks North America assembles its Volvo VT, VN and VHD trucks in the United States, at the New River Valley Plant in Dublin, VA. Volvo engines for North America are produced in Hagerstown, MD.
