Concord, NC-based Cardinal Logistics Management is saluting its own full-time driver James Woods of Orlando, FL, for pulling an elderly woman and her daughter from a car wreck last April and clearing the highway of debris from that crash to prevent further accidents.

His actions were reported by motorist Ralph Leonard, a witness to the accident and the aftermath, to Cardinal’s customer Office Depot; the firm Woods hauls products for.

“On behalf of everyone at Office Depot, we can’t thank Cardinal driver James Woods enough for a job well done,” said Mark Cartwright, vp-transportation and supply chain logistics for Office Depot.

“How thrilling it is to have an associate who had the heart and soul to help in such a tragic situation,” added Vin McLoughlin, Cardinal’s chairman. “This incident just makes you feel good about what we do and the great people who work with us.”
