ChevronTexaco oils meet Detroit Diesel spec

ChevronTexaco Products Co. today announced its Chevron Delo 400 15W-40, Chevron RPM 15W-40, Texaco Ursa Premium TDX 15W-40 and Ursa Super Plus 15W-40 now meet the new Detroit Diesel Corp. (DDC) Power Guard Oil Specification 93K214.

“New engine technologies are much more complex which means OEMs need lubricants that meet both API and their own unique requirements,” stated Gary Parsons, ChevronTexaco Products Co.’s commercial automotive business unit manager.

The engine oil specification is for use in model year 2002 and newer Detroit Diesel Series 50 and 60, and Mercedes Benz MBE 900 and 4000 engines.
