Descartes buys border service provider

The Descartes Systems Group Inc. has acquired ViaSafe Inc., which will allow ViaSafe’s border crossing and regulatory compliance services to be integrated with the Descartes Global Logistics Network.

Specifically, ViaTrade helps carriers and logistic service providers manage document exchange requirements related to international and border security. The ViaTrade solution is applicable to all modes of transportation.
