DHL to ramp up China venture

As it celebrates the 20th anniversary of its China-based international express carrier joint venture, DHL is planning to invest another $24 million in the operation to further expand its presence in the Asia.

DHL—owned by Germany’s Deutsche Post World Net— formed DHL-Sinotrans in China in 1986.

DHL said its also planning to increase the number of DHL-Sinotrans branches from 56 to 72 in mainland China this year, boosting its role as a trade facilitator.
