Plantation, FL-based express carrier DHL has appointed Hans Hickler, the company’s executive vp--business strategy and implementation, to lead DHL’s new Customer Experience Initiative.

Hickler will lead a dedicated executive team to study areas of direct contact and e-commerce interaction with customers to evaluate and drive improvement among all DHL processes.

In his current role at DHL, Hickler is responsible for the development and implementation of the company’s U.S. business strategy in addition to overseeing the company’s real estate and procurement functions. He serves as a member of the DHL’s U.S. management board, reporting directly to co-CEO John Mullen.

The company noted that the formation of Hickler’s team is part of its larger Customer Service Campaign effort kicked off last year on Sept. 12.
