Created by ArvinMeritor’s Commercial Vehicle Aftermarket division, current trade customers with an authorized user ID and password can use XpresswayPlus.com to place and check on all Meritor and Euclid orders. People can also use the site to view ArvinMeritor’s online parts catalog, which features the company’s undercarriage and drivetrain components.
In addition to stock orders for warehouse distributors, the site specializes in emergency orders for OEM and WD customers needing repair parts within 24 hours.
“XpresswayPlus.com takes the services our customers want and enhances them,” said Mark Purtilar, vp and gm of ArvinMeritor’s Commercial Vehicle Aftermarket division. “Our pilot customers have been very satisfied with the diversity of services we offer on the site, as well as with the superiority of its parts catalog and ordering capabilities.”
The site has been in pilot mode with 40 users at four ArvinMeritor customer locations since November. The system uses real-time links to the company’s U.S. distribution centers, so customers may check the price and availability of products before ordering.
Customers can also check the status and track shipment for orders placed within the prior six weeks, via links to freight carrier web sites.
