Ala.-based flatbed carrier Boyd Brothers Transportation has made three executive appointments.

The first of these involves the creation of the new position of COO, responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company. Richard C. Bailey, currently executive vp & CFO and a member of the company’s board of directors, will assume this additional role. He has served as CFO since 1992, was named to the board in 1995 and became executive vp in 1998.

Tres Parker has been promoted to vp-operations, where he will oversee the company's fleet managers, inside sales, terminals, auxiliary equipment, trailer inventories, driver relations and logistics. He joined Boyd Bros. in 1989.

Aubrey Baugh, III has been promoted to vp-finance & administration and will be responsible for the company’s internal accounting functions and financial planning. He joined the company in 1998.
