Normal registration and validation of the user is required for all customer transaction data on the Con-Way web site, the company noted. An additional security function has been built to work in conjunction with this new web feature, giving access to sensitive financial information. This function requires the customer to first designate a “primary user” within their organization who will manage access by anyone else to account invoice status information, said Con-Way.

Con-Way is a subsidiary of Palo Alto, CA-based CNF, a $6-billion holding company for a variety of transportation businesses, including regional trucking, air freight, ocean freight, customs brokerage, global logistics management and trailer manufacturing.
