    Commercial weather service Meteorlogix is predicting that this winter may be drier than normal for much of the United States, which for truckers means much of the nation's highways could remain dry.

    Minneapolis-based Meteorlogix said that El Nino has returned, meaning the Pacific Ocean will be warmer than normal this winter, causing stormy winter conditions for much of California. However, the remainder of the western U.S. will suffer a drier-than-normal winter, worsening long-term drought conditions for the Pacific Northwest and states along the northern Continental Divide, said Meteorlogix.
