Battery-maker Exide Technologies has announced the appointment of Ian J. Harvie as vp - controller. He replaces Ken Pawloski, who has decided to leave the company to pursue other interests.
"Ian's appointment is an important step in our effort to recruit strong new leadership during our operational restructuring," president & CEO Craig Muhlhauser said. "I am confident that he will provide the leadership to effectively implement world class financial systems, reporting and controls required in today's competitive business environment."
Harvie joins Exide from PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, where he served as a partner in the audit and business advisory services. He joined them in 1984 and has held various positions in the U.S. and Australia.
