FedEx cargo plane crashes in Tallahassee

A FedEx cargo plane crashed in Tallahassee, FL this morning, about a half a mile short of the airport runway. The three crew members on board were being treated for minor injuries, though the Boeing 727-200 from Memphis was destroyed by fire. A FedEx cargo plane crashed in Tallahassee, FL this morning, about a half a mile short of the airport runway. The three crew members on board were being treated for minor injuries, though the Boeing 727-200 from Memphis was destroyed by fire.

"The three-person crew is being treated at a local hospital for minor injuries," FedEx spokesman Greg Rossiter said. "We're very thankful they managed to escape from the aircraft."

Rossiter did not have information about the cause of the crash, or how much cargo was on board.
