    Five Trucking Companies Form Risk Retention Group

    Five intermodal trucking companies in California have formed a risk retention group to help seek relief from skyrocketing liability insurance. Intermodal Insurance Co., domiciled in Washington, DC, is composed of Pico Rivera-based Intermodal West Inc.; Walnut-based Avery & Avery International Inc.; Friant-based James Brooks Co. Inc.; Compton-based Calko Transport Co. Inc.; and Oakland-based Tristar

    The company is capitalized by members.

    The company's formation was spearheaded by T. Zack Cooper, vice president., J Gregory Brown Insurance; Jay E. Ginnow, vice president, Bliss & Glennon Inc. and David G. Condon, president, Casualty & Surety of IL Inc. Ronald Guss of Intermodal West Trucking Inc. was elected President.
