The alliance incorporates Genco's forward and reverse logistics service and technology with Transplace's dense network efficiency (DNE) system to deliver solutions they say will provide significant value to their common customers.
“We constantly research and develop technology to bring our customers progressive logistics solutions that reduce bottom-line costs and increase efficiency and accuracy,” said Genco CEO Herb Shear. “This relationship helps us do both and will also help fuel our current growth into global markets.”
Although both parties agree that the relationship does not preclude them from partnering with other companies, Genco said it seeks to leverage Transplace's ability to use network and logistics technology to optimize freight movements while driving down network costs and improving service system-wide.
