HA Logistics has formed a strategic alliance with Special Services Group Inc. a provider of Internet-based transportation management technology.

Dublin, CA-based HA Logistics focuses on providing supply chain management services to small- and medium-size companies, so it sees the alliance as a way to offer a wider group of services with more cost-effectiveness to that same market.

"ROI and startup costs have always been obstacles in trying to apply supply-chain technologies to small- and medium-size customers," said HA's president & CEO Alan Huttmann. "Our partnership will minimize these cost and broaden our ability to provide expertise and technology to the small to midsize clients."
