Penske Truck Leasing will offer the XATANET web-based fleet management solution from XATA to its lease customers throughout North America, XATA officials said.

The XATANET application includes streamlined fuel tax reporting, DOT driver logs, vehicle location tracking, route mapping, vehicle diagnostics and alerts, two-way driver messaging, accident analysis, and performance reporting. Using satellite communications, XATANET enables fleet managers to manage their vehicles anywhere in North America.

"Penske has had a working relationship with XATA for several years. We've been conducting comprehensive testing of the product with customers and we're confident our integrated product offering will add significant value to fleet managers," says Jim Feenstra, vice president of marketing, Penske Truck Leasing. "The product is easy-to-use and lets fleet managers quickly obtain valuable information about how their trucks and drivers are performing, and at a very reasonable price."

The XATANET product will be integrated into Penske's standard lease product offerings. Penske is currently concluding its own testing and programming. Formal announcement of Penske's complete offering is expected shortly.
