ProLogis makes deal with DHL in Japan

Third-party logistics provider ProLogis has signed a 20-year lease with DHL Japan Inc. to provide a 196,000-sq.-ft. build-to-suit distribution facility in Shinkiba, Japan, just outside Tokyo. Third-party logistics provider ProLogis has signed a 20-year lease with DHL Japan Inc. to provide a 196,000-sq.-ft. build-to-suit distribution facility in Shinkiba, Japan, just outside Tokyo.

The facility will be ProLogis’ first development in Japan and will be express carrier DHL’s largest distribution center in Asia, serving as a hub for DHL’s East Japan operations. The location provides access to both Tokyo and Narita Airport.

ProLogis currently serves DHL and affiliated companies in 18 locations throughout Europe and the United States.
