Stonepath’s New Executive Looks to Logistics

Philadelphia-based Stonepath Group has hired Dennis Pelino as its chairman and CEO as it looks to beef up its offerings in the logistics market. Pelino has 25-years of logistics industry experience and most recently served as president and COO of freight forwarder Fritz Companies Inc. before it was purchased by United Parcel Service. Philadelphia-based Stonepath Group has hired Dennis Pelino as its chairman and CEO as it looks to beef up its offerings in the logistics market.

Pelino has 25-years of logistics industry experience and most recently served as president and COO of freight forwarder Fritz Companies Inc. before it was purchased by United Parcel Service.

Pelino said Stonepath plans to increase its focus on the logistics industry by building, through acquisition and alliance, a global, integrated logistics services. He said the company intends to execute this strategy by identifying, acquiring and managing controlling interests in profitable logistics businesses, as well as developing key industry alliances.
