NTE Inc. has announced that it has implemented NTE View for Target Corp. NTE View enables supply chain partners to submit ready-to-ship information electronically, allowing for more timely, informed business decisions to maximize supply chain efficiencies and performance, according to NTE.
The retailer has more than 1,400 Target, Marshall Field's and Mervyn's retail stores that will benefit from the Web-based transportation application, NTE said.
"NTE is helping us better manage our logistics function, streamline interactions with our vendors, and produce significant savings," said Steve Carter, director of domestic transportation operations for Target. "But the greater value comes in the form of enhanced visibility and control of our supply chain."
