Knight Brokerage, a freight broker subsidiary of Phoenix-based truckload carrier Knight Transportation, is opening a new brokerage service center—its fourth— in Chicago.

Knight Brokerage, formed in mid-2005, complements the carrier’s existing network of 22 dry van and three refrigerated service centers said chairman & CEO Kevin Knight.

“The development of our brokerage model strengthens our relationships with our customers, giving them more options,” he said. “It is also a less capital-intensive way for us to grow our business.”
