McLeod Software has released a new trailer-tracking interface called SkyBitz

McLeod Software has released a new trailer-tracking interface called SkyBitz. The SkyBitz Global Locating System (GLS), the company announced, joins an extensive list of other trailer tracking interface options for McLeod’s LoadMaster enterprise transportation management solutions.

McLeod said the SkyBitz trailer tracking system will help customers optimize trailer utilization and reduce capital expenditures from lost or stolen trailers. It gives customers the ability to track both powered and non-powered assets. It also provides carriers with the opportunity to improve their customer service and increase detention billing.

Features of the SkyBitz interface include updating new trailer positions by request; calculating estimated time of arrival (ETA) information for a current load; and monitoring and searching for trailers by ID number, group or by location.
