TCA slates maintenance and profitability seminars

The Truckload Carriers Assn. (TCA) will be hosting Maintenance: Profit Center or Profit Drain Seminar on April 19 at the Sheraton Gateway Airport in Atlanta, GA. The program is designed to teach carriers how to maximize preventive maintenance, and develop systematic scheduling procedures and processes for managing labor costs, parts handling and warranties.

The following key areas will be address:

  • establishing a scheduling system
  • repair order process for service labor
  • repair order process for parts handling
  • repair order process for warranties
  • handling the initial calls for over the road repairs
  • service management

    TCA is also hosting a separate hands-on seminar which is part one of its Truckload Profitability Series on April 21 at the Four Points Sheraton O’Hare in Chicago, IL. The program will demonstrate how to build a truckload financial statement that will serve as a foundation for benchmarking and improving profitability, TCA said.
