RollTek, a side-roll protection system utilizing side airbag protection and advanced seatbelt technology to prevent occupants in a rollover situation, is now available on Class 8 Peterbilt trucks. RollTek is manufactured by IMMI.

According to IMMI, when a rollover is detected, RollTek deploys within a quarter-second to minimize driver movement, increase survivable space and cushion head and neck impact.

“Stability systems reduce commercial vehicle incidents by 25% and 40%, but in some situations when rollovers cannot be prevented, RollTek significantly reduces the potential for death or serious injury,” James Johnson, IMMI vice president of sales, said.
