Ford’s E-450 school bus is now available with a liquefied propane autogas engine from Roush CleanTech.
Azure Dynamics is working on a plug-in hybrid system for Ford’s E-450 chassis, typically used in shuttle bus configurations.
The E-Series stripped chassis hybrid is powered by an Azure Dynamics Balance hybrid-electric drivetrain. It uses electric-launch assist, gas-off idling, and regenerative braking.
