Battle lines are already being drawn over the new Greenhouse Gas Emissions (GHG) standards developed by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Environmentalists are concerned that the rules do not go far enough while trucking is worried that the rules will boost up-front equipment costs and increase complexity without delivering on the envisioned fuel-savings benefits. This time around, however, there are reasons to be at least cautiously optimistic that fleets will realize a return on their investment.Register now to hear from Michael Roeth, executive director of the North American Council for Freight Efficiency (NACFE) and leader of Trucking Efficiency Operations for the Carbon War Room, along with Matthew Spears, center director, Heavy-Duty Diesel Standards in the Assessment & Standards Division, Office of Transportation and Air Quality at the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).The upcoming webinar, Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Your Fleet, will be Wednesday, Sept. 23, at 2 p.m. ET/11 a.m. PT.This free webinar is being presented by Fleet Owner and sponsored by Ryder. Chris Nordh, director, Global Fuel Products for Ryder System, will offer welcoming remarks on behalf of Ryder.
