Conversion centers added to autogas network

July 24, 2012

Alliance AutoGas, a national network dedicated to propane autogas conversions, announced that four additional certified conversion centers have joined its network.

The new conversion centers are CarburetorConnection in Kirkland, WA; Fox Valley Truck in Appleton, WI; the Motor Company in Marinette, WI; and Sunbury Motors in Sunbury, PA. Certified centers are able to convert over 200 types of vehicles to propane autogas.

“The Alliance AutoGas partner network of propane autogas fueling and conversion centers will continue to expand as more American fleets demand a clean, low-cost alternative to gasoline,” said Stuart Weidie, Alliance AutoGas president. “Part of what makes autogas the most viable alternative fuel for the transportation sector is the affordability of vehicle conversions. These new Alliance certified conversion centers will play an important role in getting more U.S. fleets running on American-made, economical autogas.”

Technicians are trained to convert and maintain propane autogas vehicles for fleets. Alliance AutoGas conversion centers are equipped to implement both bi-fuel and dedicated propane vehicle conversions using Prins vapor and liquid injection technology.

The bi-fuel Prins Vapor Sequential Injection (Prins VSI) system allows drivers to switch to gasoline if they’re out of range of an autogas fuel station.
