GE updates fleet comparison tool

Nov. 2, 2012

GE Capital Fleet Services has updated its online comparison application to include even more tools to help fleet managers make fleet size and vehicle make-up decision. The IntelliGauge application now features a range of alternative fuel vehicles, allowing managers to compare fuel costs and efficiencies for any current or conceivable fleet configuration, GE said.

New features include:

  • Comparison of current vs. future vehicle populations by fuel type
  • Fuel efficiency information of vehicles from the full EPA list, which features thousands of vehicles including hundreds of CNG, CNG conversion, diesel, electric, PHEV, and hybrid vehicles
  • The ability to compare more than 550 models from 39 manufacturers for 2013
  • Ability to edit standard MPG estimates (to reflect actual observed values within a particular fleet) and modify percentage of electricity/CNG usage

Another feature is the easier-to-navigation user interface that allows editing, saving and sharing (via email or Twitter) of specific fleet scenarios.

The application is free to use with registration and can be accessed via this link. It can be used online as well as with smartphones and the iPad.
