FourKites announced that Craig Fiander has joined the company as senior vice president of business development.

According to the company, Fiander was most recently vice president of strategic alliances for the Enterprise Solutions business unit at ALK Technologies, a Trimble Company. In this role, he led the channel strategy and owned the global relationships with leading logistics software providers, including JDA, Oracle, SAP, Manhattan, McLeod, MercuryGate, Descartes, Skybitz and TMW Systems, among others, FourKites said. Prior to this role, for over 20 years, Fiander held various product management and marketing positions, including vice president of marketing at ALK.

"I am thrilled to join Fourkites to lead their global integration and channel partner strategy," Fiander said. "With so many technology startups in the transportation and logistics industry, it's been very impressive to see the adoption of FourKites' solution by a significant number of large shippers and logistics services providers (LSPs). FourKites has provided real results in a very short period of time. I look forward to working with the FourKites team to expand their alliances and transform the industry."

"Craig’s industry experience and deep relationships makes him the perfect fit to help lead FourKites’ strategic business initiatives,” said Dave Walker, chief revenue officer of FourKites. “Craig was responsible for driving the integration and adoption of PC*MILER and ALK Maps, making them the industry-standard. There is no one better than him to execute our vision of making FourKites the industry-standard when it comes to carrier connectivity.”
