Vehicle safety technology event in Washington D.C.
    May 18, 2016

The Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association hosted a ride and drive event in the shadow of RFK Stadium in Washington D.C. to show off a variety of vehicle safety systems to legislators, regulators, and journalists. Despite the rain, demonstrations of automatic emergency braking systems for both commercial trucks and passenger cars went forward as planned - showing off their performance capability in adverse weather conditions - while tents provided cover for static displays of other technologies.
