TAMPA. Shop software provider Mitchell 1 is enhancing its Repair-Connect on-line engine diagnostic code program, adding diagnostic information for both gasoline and diesel engines serving Class 4-8 trucks. The company has also forged a new strategic partnership with Zonar Systems to integrate Mitchell 1’s Repair-Connect web services into Zonar’s Ground Traffic Control software to craft what’s been dubbed Zonar Rx.
Once the integration is complete, Zonar Rx will not only be able to communicate trouble codes from an engine ECM, but will also provide the essential service information required to diagnose and repair the problem.
“The relationship with Zonar and the development of this new offering is a natural evolution for both companies,” said Dave Costantino, Mitchell 1’s CVG director during a news conference here at the 2011 Technology & Maintenance Council’s annual meeting.
“Integrating our Repair-Connect application with Zonar’s ECM data capturing capability will take diagnostics and repair information to a whole new level,” he added.
