Heavy loads and severe torque are no problems for the new clutch in the Alliance Truck Parts E-Z Assist line, the company said.

The new clutch is rated at 2,050 lbs-ft. of torque, ideal for work truck applications that require severe torque transfer for extremely heavy loads, according to Alliance.

The E-Z Assist line, which also includes clutches in torque ratings of 1,400, 1,650, and 1,850, requires 35% less pedal effort to engage and disengage than traditional cast angle spring clutches for reduced leg fatigue, the company said.

“Extremely heavy loads require heavy-duty solutions,” said Daniel Haggerty, director of parts marketing for Daimler Trucks North America, Alliance’s parent company. “This clutch fills a market need for our severe-duty customers. Alliance clutches are designed for trucks and owners who need a tough, good quality clutch at an affordable price, and we’re pleased to offer a full line of products for our customers that deliver an excellent value.”

The clutches are made with all new parts and feature dual plate construction with ceramic facings and seven-spring design. All Alliance Truck Parts clutches come with a one-year, unlimited mileage warranty.
