Wabash National Corp. has appointed Robert J. Smith to senior vp and CFO of its executive management team, effective immediately.

For the company he started working in 2003 as vp and corporate controller. He had most recently served as acting CFO since June 2004.

“Bob has consistently demonstrated his ability to drive the company’s strategic financial direction. His broad range of executive, operational, and financial leadership experience makes him particularly qualified to lead Wabash National’s financial operations as we continue to grow the business,” said Bill Greubel, Wabash National’s president & CEO.
